Mechanical Testing

Universal Testing Machine (UTM)
UTM of 40 MT capacity for checking the ultimate tensile strength, Yield strength,
elongation etc.

Hardness : We have a Vickers / Brinell hardness tester for accurate checking of
hardness for all products.

          Chemical Analysis
          Spectrometer : Direct Reading computerized vacuum emission spectrometer
          (Columbus, Germany)

Carbon Sulfur Apparatus : Determination of C & S by wet analysis for more              valuable and accurate results.

Other Examinations

Macrostructure : To evaluate segregation of impurities across the cross section.

Microstructure : We check the material for microstructure, decarb and grain size to
ensure that it is suitable as per customer's specification & application.

Ultrasonic Test (UT) : Ultrasonic Test detects internal defects with ultrasonic and
helps to judge produce quality.

Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) : Assessment of surface defects of product using
liquid magnetic particles.


Product Size Range

Bright Bar : 2mm to 100 mm (tolerance h9, h11)
Drawn wires are straightened in decoiling machines for further polishing and grinding
/ peeling to remove surface blemishes for close tolerance and better mechanical
properties.

            Electro Slag Refining Process (ESR)
            Rounds (annealed and turned : 100 mm to 500 mm diameter
            Squares (annealed) : 80mm to 400mm side

Radial / Long Forging Machine (GFM)
25mm to 130 mm diameter with various lenght upto 6000 mm depending on various
combination of forging and rolling coupled with Non ESR and ESR Material.
