We have ESRs with copper moulds & retraction systems that are controlled by PLCs. This helps us to get good surface finish and avoid slag entrapment in the steel.
Additional Advantages:
• Reduction of inclusions, sulphur and oxygen
• Elimination of segregation and banding
• Increase in density of steel
• Higher hot ductility and yield of the material
• Higher values of strength of toughness
• Diminishing the size of carbide particles by more than
one index and improving their distribution
• Service life can be increased by 60% |
